The DIM program prepares students to be familiar with the state of the art of research methods in any areas related to management and business, to be able to advance and present the latest knowledge and empirical findings in their chosen fields of study, and to be able to make the well-developed business and decisions and policy. The complexity of markets and societies in economic, social, and environmental challenges puts growing demands on business to actively engage with all stakeholders. There are mutually dependent relationships between public-business policymakers and the academician in providing the complex information needed on strategic business issues.
The program focuses on providing business solutions in the above mentioned various aspects. The DIM program consists of two stages – a coursework stage and a research stage. In the coursework stage, students learn the foundations of key theories and research methods and have the opportunity to specialize in fields of interest. In the research stage, students contribute their research by writing dissertations under the guidance of a panel of supervisors. The dissertation must make a significant contribution to one of the cognate disciplines of DIM. Article(s) derived from the thesis should have the potency to be published in leading journal(s) in relevant disciplines.
The DIM Program admits students twice a year, at the beginning of each semester. Normally, The DIM program takes three years to complete the degree, depending on the doctorate candidate’s performance.
The DIM program offers two concentrations: General Management and Business Management. In both concentrations, the student can select a field of specializations that encompasses management and business disciplines.
